Shared Resource / Location Management
Overview
The Shared Location feature allows you to group staff members who share the same physical space (room, chair, equipment, etc.). When one staff member is booked at a time slot, all other staff sharing the same location are automatically blocked for that same time — preventing double-booking of a shared resource.
How It Works
Create a Location — Go to Locations in the admin menu and create a location (e.g. "Room A", "Treatment Chair 1", "Studio").
Assign Staff to a Location — In the Staff settings, assign each staff member to a location. Staff sharing the same physical space should be assigned the same location.
Automatic Blocking — When a customer books Staff A at 10:00 AM, the 10:00 AM slot is automatically removed from Staff B's availability if they share the same location — even across different services or session lengths.

A spa with 2 therapists sharing 1 treatment room
A photo studio where multiple photographers use the same studio space
A clinic with multiple practitioners sharing a single consultation room
Any business where staff rotate through a limited number of shared spaces
Key Behaviors
Staff A booked at 2:00 PM (shared location)
2:00 PM blocked for all staff at that location
Staff without a location assigned
Only blocks their own time slot (independent)
Staff at different locations
No cross-blocking — fully independent
Booking cancelled or expired
Time slot becomes available again for all staff at that location
Plan Requirement
This feature is available on the Scale plan. The Location selector is visible on all plans but can only be configured after upgrading.
